Do I need a license to hire a motorboat in Santorini?
No, according to the Greek Maritime Law you don’t need a license to hire a motorboat of up to 30hp.
How old do I have to be to rent a boat in Santorini?
The person who hires the boat and will be in command has to be at least 18 years of age.
Should we arrive at the dock (Vlychada Marine Santorini) earlier than the departure time?
You must arrive at the dock at least half an hour beforehand for a safety brief and route suggestions.
Can you provide a skipper if I don’t wish to ride the boat myself?
Yes, an experienced, certified skipper is available upon prior request at extra charge.
Is fuel cost included in the rental price?
The boat is delivered to you with a full tank of gas, and you pay for the fuel spent at the end of your cruise.
Do you provide fishing and snorkelling equipment?
Yes, your boat can be equipped with snorkelling and fishing gear for an extra charge and upon request.

Can I return the boat after the sunset?
No, by law boats need to have been returned by sunset at the latest.
Do you provide transfer service?
Yes, we can arrange tranfer service for an extra charge.
Is there a security deposit that I have to pay?
Yes, we hold a 500€ security deposit paid in cash at the start of the rental period. When the boat is returned to us in the state it was received, the security deposit is returned to you.
When do I pay for the optional extras I have requested?
You pay for the optional extras you have requested at the beginning of the rental period in cash.
